New Scout joining Troop 454
Welcome to Troop 454! We are pleased you've chosen to continue your scouting adventures with us.

We will get back to you with the specific details of how to register with the Troop.
Detailed information about how the troop operates can be found in the "Reference" link on the left once you are given a troop web account. The first place to look is in the Troop 454 Parent Handbook. In addition, please review an abbreviated list of some adult volunteer descriptions that keep our troop running strong.

Let us know if any adults in the family wish to camp with us as well. Food will be provided by the Troop.

If your Scout is unable to attend the bridging campout, pease let us know in the email so we can make sure all of the joining logistics are completed.
Required Forms:

Outing permission form: Required on every campout.

Annual health and medical record: Part A & B are updated yearly. Part C, which requires a doctor’s visit, is only required on extended campouts like summer camp.

BSA application: Required only once to register with the troop if you are not a currently register scout.

A $20 check ($80 if not already a registered Cub Scout) made payable to BSA Troop 454 for the pro-rated annual dues.
Your scout should bring:

Cub Scout uniform (also referred to as Field Uniform): scout pants/shorts, shirt, cub scout neckerchief & slide. Troop 454 will provide a Scouts BSA neckerchief and slide at bridging.

Scouts BSA Handbook for Boys, spiral bound with additional book cover is suggested. Before coming, with your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet “How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide” and earn the Cyber Chip Award for your grade.
